1. Who we are

CricBook is operated by CricBook (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Sri Lanka (registration number TODO-BR-NUMBER), with its registered office at TODO: street address, Colombo TODO, Sri Lanka. In these terms “we”, “us” and “CricBook” mean that company.

2. What CricBook does

CricBook is a booking platform. We connect players with sports venues. We are not the operator of the venues listed, and we do not own, manage or control the courts, facilities or staff at them. Your booking creates a contract between you and the venue; our role is to take the booking and, where applicable, process payment for it.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
• You must give accurate details, including a phone number you control. We verify phone numbers by SMS one-time password.
• One account per person. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone and email secure.
• We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, to make bookings the holder does not intend to honour, or in breach of these terms.

4. Bookings

Availability shown on CricBook is live but not reserved until your booking is confirmed. Selecting a slot places a short hold on it; the hold expires if payment is not completed in time, and the slot returns to sale.

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from us. If a slot becomes unavailable before confirmation — for example because another player completed payment first — we will tell you and no charge will be made.

5. Prices and payment

• All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are set by the venue, not by us. Peak-hour rates may apply and are shown before you pay.
• Card and wallet payments are processed by PayHere, a licensed Sri Lankan payment service provider. We do not store your full card details.
• Some venues allow payment in cash on arrival, or a deposit online with the balance paid at the venue. Where this applies it is shown at checkout. If you book on a cash basis and do not attend, the venue may decline future cash bookings.
• Where we act as agent for the venue, we may deduct a commission from amounts collected before settling the balance to them. This does not change the price you pay.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, refunds and slot transfers are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Your conduct at venues

Venues set their own rules — footwear, equipment, guests, and conduct. You must follow them. A venue may refuse entry or end a session for unsafe or abusive behaviour, and no refund is due where it does so reasonably. You are responsible for any damage you or your group causes.

Sport carries risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and should satisfy yourself that you are fit to play.

8. Terms for venue owners

If you list a venue on CricBook, you additionally agree that:

• You have the right to offer the facility for hire, and the information you publish — pricing, hours, facilities, photographs — is accurate and kept up to date.
• You will honour confirmed bookings. Where you cancel a confirmed booking, the player is entitled to a full refund and we may recover that amount from your settlement.
• Settlement of amounts we collect on your behalf, net of commission, is made on the schedule agreed with you in your venue agreement.
• You are responsible for your own licences, insurance, taxes and health and safety compliance.

9. Our liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for the condition, safety or suitability of any venue, or for the acts or omissions of a venue or its staff.

Where we are liable to you, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the booking in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Sri Lankan law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
