A Verified badge on a CricBook venue means we have confirmed it is a real, operating court we have spoken to directly — its location, its courts, its opening hours and its pricing. It is a fact-check, not an endorsement, a ranking, or a quality score.
What we check
- The venue exists and is operating.
- The address and courts are real.
- Opening hours are current.
- Listed prices match reality.
What it doesn’t mean
- It is not a rating or a review score.
- It does not rank one venue above another.
- It is not paid placement.
- Unverified venues can still be real and bookable.

No. Verification is not an endorsement, a ranking, or a quality score. It only confirms the venue is genuine and its listed details are accurate. Unverified venues can still be real and bookable.
How do you verify a venue?
We speak to the operator, confirm the address and courts exist, and check the published hours and prices are current. Where possible we visit or verify through a known contact.
How do I report a wrong listing?
If a venue's details are wrong, email sudewa@cricbook.lk with the venue name and what's inaccurate, and we'll check it and update or remove the badge.
